You need to understand no one book or article is going to dig you out of the hole you are in. But there are good books with good advice and good articles with good advice. With all things being equal there is a boat load of junk out there also.

Lets face it. You are hurting. Your are desperate. You are in a panic. You are looking for some quick answers to serious questions. This is a bad combination when you are looking for information because you just might be grasping for straws to get you out of this mess and the wrong straw could send it the wrong way for you.

Did you know most family/marriage counselors have rotten kids and a lousy home life? Did you also know many of them have been divorced more than once. Did you know there is an adage that goes something like this. "Those who can, do. Those who cannot, teach." And this includes writing books. See, if they could do they would be out doing.

What I am saying is do not get sucked into buying a book because it has an alphabet behind the authors name. As though that makes him good at what he is bragging about. Most likely he has only regurgitated the same old rehashed information from a thousand other books and articles. Nothing new and certainly nothing helpful, in most cases. Or you have to sift through a thousand of them to find a gem here or there and who has time for that. Do you? I don't.

If you are like I am you want to find someone who has walked the walk and not just talk the talk. The guy or gal that has been there and done it and won the Tee shirt. Right?

I can tell you about hurt, because I have experienced hurt, just like you. I can tell you what has worked for me. We all supposedly know ourselves pretty well. But do we know what the opposite sex wants and likes. What drives them nuts? Mostly we don't. That is why you are in the fix you are in right now.

Look for experience. Massive amounts of experience. Not a few pages of the same old boiled down time worn stuff everyone knows about "waiting it out and they will miss you and want you back" stuff. Most of that drivel is fluffed up to about 40 or 50 pages of "I want my money back, NOW! type of stuff.

Do not spend your money there. Look for some real honesty and depth in what is being offered. Real information of the kind you are looking for does not come in a pint sized can. These email books are mostly over priced and over rated and under nourished. Get something with some beef in it.

Look for a book that holds your hand all the way along. How to deal with the pain you are feeling, what mistakes to avoid making, how get past an affair, what the other person actually craves and needs and how you can provide it.

Have you ever read a books testimonials? They are always written by their crony buddies. "You rub my back this and I'll rub yours next time" kind of deal. I would look for testimonials from every walk of life and from around the world if it goes that far.
When folks from the upper crust to Joe and Suzy Sixpack can rave about how well things worked for them, well that tells you a whole lot about what is inside. If it would work for them, it most likely will work for you also.

As you know now, relationships require effort and knowledge. Unfortunately an operation guide is not given with the marriage license. So now looking for one after fact can be tough, not impossible. Hopefully this has been of help to you.
